Hitachi Drivers Windows 10

Did the free trial Windows 10 install. Hitachi drive either doesn't show on File Explorer or Device Manager, or it shows but access is uselessly slow and can in time be not accessible.

Microsoft Windows 10 Chat assistant did a re-install to upgrade Windows 10 to Version 1511, but that didn't help. The drive, when it shows up, is listed on Device Manager as 'Hitachi HDS72101 SCSI Disk Drive', but it's not a SCSI. I've read from a post by Juergen Hofmann that he had a similar problem with a Hitachi Touro HDD. I didn't see a resolution. I've tried updating my motherboard drivers to Windows 10, but that didn't improve things. I also did the right-click on the Hitachi drive and 'Update Driver' but Windows 10 said the driver was current. Other than going back to Windows 7, any ideas on how to get Windows 10 to operate my Hitachi properly?

Hi Marty, Have you checked this under the Hitachi website? It seems to be that the driver for their hard drive is not available to run under Windows 10.

The answer is so simple. - Go to the following address: - Download the Iso file. - Use Winiso (free) for example tu burn it to a DVD.

- Insert the DVD - Specify to your PC BIOS to boot first on the DVD - Specify Install Ubuntu - When prompted select the option 'I want to do something else' - Delete all your windows partitions - Select one for your /root directoty - Select another one (preferably on another drive) for your /home directory - Select a username and password as on Windows - Let the installation process finish - then apply those advices Then forget about your performances with Windows 10.
